Style of Middle-earth

When I was posting on this blog on a consistent basis, the  Region Series  was my favorite series I've ever worked on. I also had two other series' on this blog,  Crafted Sets with Cosmetic Value  and  Matching A Steed , but the region series was truly my favorite. There's something so magical about taking a region, an entire region, and trying to form an outfit inspired by that region. It is truly a difficult task. Every single region is so unique and diverse, and while it may maintain the same general feel, every single village or homestead within that region each has its own flair. It's odd that I chose Wildermore as the region to bring back this series with. All in all, it is one of my least favorite regions in the game. It is beautiful, yes, but it is incredibly desolate and forlorn. Even Forochel, just as snowy and bleak, has more activity and homeliness to it than Wildermore does.  I began this outfit with the shoulders; I was oh so close ...

 Firstly, I want to apologize for having this up late. I didn't get the screenshots taken until late last night, so that put me behind schedule. It has been some months since I did the last part in my region series of outfits. I'm hoping to one day create an outfit for all of the regions of Eriador, and then move on to Rhovanion. I knew I wanted the base colors to be browns and greys. Even though Bree is a very beautiful region, the city is very simple in its colors, and I wanted to reflect that in the outfit. The hauberk/armour used in this outfit is a favorite of mine. It has leather and metal in it, and it dyes quite nicely. The shoulder-guards were easily chosen, as the brown in them matches the browns in the lower part of the hauberk, and it is quite a simple piece.  Simple boots and gloves were added, the gloves of a musty grey color, and the boots brown with white. I finished off with a piece from the Bree-land barter, a backpack, and a simple, metal ...

 The idea behind this outfit is a rich townsperson, someone who has money to spare, and time to give. In the words of my brother, "the outfit looks like it is for someone who is going to trade stocks".  For the female version of the outfit, I chose the dress, as when dyed white, it turned into a rich grey color, and didn't look too wintry. The shoulder guards added a very expensive feel to the outfit, and I finished off with a fancy and regal circlet.  I've considered doing a male/female outfit for sometime now, but it has taken me quite sometime to find pieces that complimented one another while staying true to the suggested gender. I finally decided that two Extravagant pieces from a Yule festival quest line would work perfectly, along with the Gwir-palvais shoulders. No matter what part of Middle-earth I adventure into, there continues to be one place that is my favorite location: Edoras. Edoras happens to be the capitol city of my favorite region of Middle-earth, and it is my opinion that LoTRO did justice to the beauty of the Mark. The robe in this outfit is my absolute favorite robe I've ever come across in-game. The design of it is flawless, and there is nothing I can say other than that it is a simply gorgeous robe. After the robe, I decided to use gold and silver as my colors. I thus chose a lovely silver circlet (though it is not fully a circlet..) and then went on to choose one of the best pair of shoulder guards in game (in my opinion.) I finished off with a incredible and detailed pair of gauntlets, and a pair of simple boots. "Marshwarden? What in the world is a marshwarden? Do you mean march-warden, like Haldir?" Given the location of these screenshots, and the fact that this little hobbit is a warden, I decided to use this lovely play on words.  I bring you the first of a couple outfits from beta - and to be extremely honest, I'm crazy proud of this one. I think it is one of my best outfits yet, and I'm very sad I don't have this outfit on live. Whilst on beta, I took advantage of the large amounts of turbine points and mithril coins to purchase pieces of outfits I would usually never buy.  After picking out the chest and legs, I started choosing pieces that complimented the white, red, and brown. The circlet was easily chosen, and then I added the gauntlets. They feature brown bands, and with red dye, they matched perfectly. The shoulderguards were brown, and the simplicity caught my eye.  Being below level cap definitely has its drawbacks, not being able to actually feel safe in higher level areas, not having access to all cosmetic pieces, and many more, but I have found that even being in the mid-60's level wise, I can get access to almost all of the things I could get at level cap, including journeying into Rohan... and almost western Rohan. I started looking around Middle-earth for a proper place for this outfit, one that would compliment the outfit with overpowering it, but nothing seemed to work. The Shire had too many flowers, and all places that were white had snow. So, I was about to give up on this outfit. But, Mak's adopted mother (and part-time travel agent and pilot), brought me down to Rohan, and right there, in Rohan, was the perfect scenery. “Elvish singing is not a thing to miss, in June under the stars, not if you care for such things.”   The base inspiration behind this outfit is the golds, greens, and white-greys of Lorien. The golden leaves of the trees inspire the gold laced throughout the outfit. The green grass draws out the hints of green in the boots and cape, and the white-grey tree stumps inspire the general color of the outfit.  I have seemingly become lazy about my outfit - I have started skipping weeks to post, and I have not taken the time to take screenshots. But I am hoping I can put that behind me, and give everyone some new inspiration and such. For quite some time, I have loved the Elvin styled outfits - those with tops that flow into leggings, with go into softly curved boots, which go into soft shoulder-guards. The cape is an elvish touch indeed, but in the past few days that I have been obsessively wearing this outfit, I have actually omitted the cape because I adore Makai...
