Style of Middle-earth

A very exciting thing has happened in my career as a cosmetic blogger: I finally purchased Wardrobe after a very long time. Quite a while ago, I started picking up pieces that were way above my level, and began to dye them and leave them in my vault, waiting for the day that I got shared wardrobe and could actually wear them in game.  I felt like I needed a special location to mark this special occasion, so I headed down to an area I had only traveled through once (and that was during Taking the Hobbits to Isengard, so we didn't stop): Galtrev, and the surrounding areas of Dunland. In my mind, Dunland is the start of Rohan, on the very outskirts, and has a bit of a Rohan-y feel. So, since my outfit is supposed to show a traveler, it required components of a traveler: shoulder guards or a cloak that could keep their shoulders and neck warm, functional boots and gloves, for both snow and heat, and a hauberk. Everyone has those days when they are bored and have too much time on their hands. Two days ago, that was the situation I was in. I was logged in on Makaia, and was looking through Lalia's Market, and did what I've done many times before: style outfits (that I cannot afford) with all the assorted pieces throughout the market. But then I thought to myself, "why in the world am I making these outfits, but doing nothing with them?". So, I decided to share with you guys three outfits I made.  The first outfit, shown above, is a little outfit I'm calling "Keeper of Stones". It is mainly inspired by the rune-keeper class (a class which I don't have.. sad, I know). The shoulder guards flowed so nicely into the robe, and I loved the simplicity of the outfit. I have outfits sitting in my vault that I cannot use, even though they are all planned out and dyed, because I simply do not have shared wardrobe yet. But that is not the topic at hand. I am growing near the end of my time in Moria, and that is a glorious sight. A couple of weeks ago, I spent some time in the section of Moria known as the Flaming Deeps, and the fire shooting out of the ground seemed like a very good area to style a fiery outfit after. Ranger's masks are one of those iconic cosmetic pieces that I think everyone should have, even if they are only makeshift ranger's masks. Thy starlight on the Western Seas.”  My little elf main is proudly an elf, hailing from the woodland realm of Mirkwood. In the last week or so, I made up my mind to finally finish Volume I, and I did! During that process, I picked up some lovely cosmetic pieces from quest rewards, and I knew when I got this cloak that it might work very well as a cosmetic piece. Even though it might look silly (it has a rabbit on the back of it, for goodness sake!), it screamed "elf!". Thus I made a green, elf like cosmetic outfit that differs greatly from the last "elf" cosmetic outfit I posted, the Colors of Spring , that reminded me a bit of Tauriel from the new Hobbit film (despite the fact she isn't a Tolkien character). The green main color, plus the bits of brown leather, seemed like something a huntress would wear, though sadly, my highest level hunter is level 13 and ...

The story: After I became kin with the Mathom Society, I hurried to the faction representatives in Michel Delving to purchase the steed. As I was looking through the pieces available for purchase from the same faction vendor, I came across the hauberk of the Shirriff, and absolutely fell in love with how the design and color captured the essence of the Shire.  Later, after the Summer festival, I was going through my cosmetics in my vault as I do quite often, and I came across a cloak I had picked up during that festival.
