Traveler of the Southern Lands

A very exciting thing has happened in my career as a cosmetic blogger: I finally purchased Wardrobe after a very long time. Quite a while ago, I started picking up pieces that were way above my level, and began to dye them and leave them in my vault, waiting for the day that I got shared wardrobe and could actually wear them in game.

 I felt like I needed a special location to mark this special occasion, so I headed down to an area I had only traveled through once (and that was during Taking the Hobbits to Isengard, so we didn't stop): Galtrev, and the surrounding areas of Dunland.

In my mind, Dunland is the start of Rohan, on the very outskirts, and has a bit of a Rohan-y feel. So, since my outfit is supposed to show a traveler, it required components of a traveler: shoulder guards or a cloak that could keep their shoulders and neck warm, functional boots and gloves, for both snow and heat, and a hauberk. And who doesn't love green dye?

This is added to show the alternative way you could do this outfit: a cloak and no shoulder guards.

Head: Circlet of Adamant (forest green) – Auction Hall or LOTRO store
Shoulders: Defensive Eastemnet Combat Pauldrons (forest green) – medium crafted tier 8
Chest: Lesser Valourous Hauberk of Finesse (rivendell green) – Auction Hall (I believe this is a world drop)
Hands: Vibrant Calenard War Gauntlets (rivendell green) – heavy crafted tier 7
Feet: Agile Eastemnet Combat Boots (forest green) – medium crafted tier 8
Optional: Supple Westemnet Cloak of Wisdom (Rivendell green) – light crafted tier 9*

*I suggest using either the cloak OR the shoulder guards, as I experienced loads of cutting and awkwardness between both pieces.

      Thank you very much! Any shade of green is my favorite color of dye, so whenever I get the chance to use it, I spring upon it :)

When I was posting on this blog on a consistent basis, the  Region Series  was my favorite series I've ever worked on. I also had two other series' on this blog,  Crafted Sets with Cosmetic Value  and  Matching A Steed , but the region series was truly my favorite. Dragon Scale

It's been such a joy as of late to working on outfits again. Nowadays, whether I'm running dailies or doing quests or really doing anything in game, I'm constantly thinking about what sort of outfits I could do inspired by the region I'm in, or what sort of screenshots I could take. When I took my blog hiatus I focused so much on getting a character to cap (which I was able to do.. twice), and then gearing said characters for end game content. Even though both characters aren't tier 2 ready yet, it's been very fun having different things to work on in game, not just leveling and gearing.  This outfit is fully based around the absolutely beautiful Draigoch cloak my friend and fellow cosmetic blogger Nathrien so kindly gifted me.  In comparison to the cloak, I wanted everything else to be simple, or at least I tried. Spring in the Sutcrofts

 Being below level cap definitely has its drawbacks, not being able to actually feel safe in higher level areas, not having access to all cosmetic pieces, and many more, but I have found that even being in the mid-60's level wise, I can get access to almost all of the things I could get at level cap, including journeying into Rohan... and almost western Rohan. I started looking around Middle-earth for a proper place for this outfit, one that would compliment the outfit with overpowering it, but nothing seemed to work. The Shire had too many flowers, and all places that were white had snow. So, I was about to give up on this outfit. But, Mak's adopted mother (and part-time travel agent and pilot), brought me down to Rohan, and right there, in Rohan, was the perfect scenery.
