Warden of Rohan

This my first post featuring a male model, and this week the model is my brother's warden! Even though my brother is definitely not a cosmetics person, he has still put together quite a nice outfit. A quick note on the name - yes, even though his warden is an elf, my brother and I decided on Warden of Rohan because of the lovely helm that is part of the piece.

The first thing I would like to talk about is the absolutely magnificent helmet. This helmet is available from the LOTRO store for turbine points, but I definitely think it is worth all the points you spend. The lovely horsehair like top fluff is such a staple piece of the Rohirric armour, and I seriously just love everything Rohan related :)

 The shoulder guards and the hauberk are both lovely LOTRO store pieces, but they are also worth all the points that you might pay for them. I specifically like how the there is a main black part on the hauberk, but how the slight red tones in it compliment the oranges in the helm.




The gauntlets in this set are just so wonderful - one of the parts I love about this outfit. I also love how they also have a bit of orange tones - along with the boots!

Even though this character is a warden, I think the warden's pack is a great pack to pair with many outfits, but I think it looks especially good with this outfit (I apologize that I wasn't able to get a good screenshot featuring the warden's pack - I was quite rushed for time to take these screenshots).

Bleak as Winter - Region Series Part V

When I was posting on this blog on a consistent basis, the  Region Series  was my favorite series I've ever worked on. I also had two other series' on this blog,  Crafted Sets with Cosmetic Value  and  Matching A Steed , but the region series was truly my favorite. There's something so magical about taking a region, an entire region, and trying to form an outfit inspired by that region. It is truly a difficult task. Every single region is so unique and diverse, and while it may maintain the same general feel, every single village or homestead within that region each has its own flair. It's odd that I chose Wildermore as the region to bring back this series with. All in all, it is one of my least favorite regions in the game. It is beautiful, yes, but it is incredibly desolate and forlorn. Dragon Scale

It's been such a joy as of late to working on outfits again. Nowadays, whether I'm running dailies or doing quests or really doing anything in game, I'm constantly thinking about what sort of outfits I could do inspired by the region I'm in, or what sort of screenshots I could take. When I took my blog hiatus I focused so much on getting a character to cap (which I was able to do.. twice), and then gearing said characters for end game content. Even though both characters aren't tier 2 ready yet, it's been very fun having different things to work on in game, not just leveling and gearing.  This outfit is fully based around the absolutely beautiful Draigoch cloak my friend and fellow cosmetic blogger Nathrien so kindly gifted me.  In comparison to the cloak, I wanted everything else to be simple, or at least I tried. Spring in the Sutcrofts

 Being below level cap definitely has its drawbacks, not being able to actually feel safe in higher level areas, not having access to all cosmetic pieces, and many more, but I have found that even being in the mid-60's level wise, I can get access to almost all of the things I could get at level cap, including journeying into Rohan... and almost western Rohan. I started looking around Middle-earth for a proper place for this outfit, one that would compliment the outfit with overpowering it, but nothing seemed to work. The Shire had too many flowers, and all places that were white had snow. So, I was about to give up on this outfit. But, Mak's adopted mother (and part-time travel agent and pilot), brought me down to Rohan, and right there, in Rohan, was the perfect scenery.
