Lady of Frost - Yule Special

I would quickly like to apologize for getting this up late. I had scheduled this to post on Tuesday, while I was away visiting family for the Christmas holidays, but it never posted! I am very sorry about this!

Yule Festival is officially my favorite LOTRO festival of all time. First off, the Winter Holiday season is my favorite time of the year. The snow, the Christmas trees, the presents, the food, the overall cheer. So every year, the Yule Festival makes me so excited to head back into Frostbluff, and participate in plays, build snowmen, disperse small snow storms, and more. But another reason I love this festival is because of the cosmetics: the Yule Festival cosmetics are absolutely magnificent. Sadly, the new cosmetics this year are very few in number, so I had to go for some cosmetics from previous years (but are still available from the vendors this year).

 This style of shoulder pads is seriously wonderful, they are a sleek and very simple shoulder pad, but the coloring of the Snow-dusted set is just lovely.

I also love fingerless gloves - they are a very interesting piece that you usually cannot acquire ingame.

Boots with loads of shiny buckles are always a very cool part of a cosmetic outfit, but boots with buckles that have snow on them, well, that is even better. I simply adore the whole Snow-dusted set so much.

I think another theme you might notice from all my outfits are hauberks - hauberks are easy to acquire in many different styles, and I will say that they are my comfortable base cosmetic piece. I definitely need to branch out, haha!

I have simply fell in love with the Elven Circlet: its gold, simple, and goes with almost every cosmetic set.

And finally - the cloak. I absolutely adore the hoodless version of hooded cloaks, because I love the bulkier part of the neck tie and and long bit of fabric falling down the back.

Bleak as Winter - Region Series Part V

When I was posting on this blog on a consistent basis, the  Region Series  was my favorite series I've ever worked on. I also had two other series' on this blog,  Crafted Sets with Cosmetic Value  and  Matching A Steed , but the region series was truly my favorite. There's something so magical about taking a region, an entire region, and trying to form an outfit inspired by that region. It is truly a difficult task. Every single region is so unique and diverse, and while it may maintain the same general feel, every single village or homestead within that region each has its own flair. It's odd that I chose Wildermore as the region to bring back this series with. All in all, it is one of my least favorite regions in the game. It is beautiful, yes, but it is incredibly desolate and forlorn. Dragon Scale

It's been such a joy as of late to working on outfits again. Nowadays, whether I'm running dailies or doing quests or really doing anything in game, I'm constantly thinking about what sort of outfits I could do inspired by the region I'm in, or what sort of screenshots I could take. When I took my blog hiatus I focused so much on getting a character to cap (which I was able to do.. twice), and then gearing said characters for end game content. Even though both characters aren't tier 2 ready yet, it's been very fun having different things to work on in game, not just leveling and gearing.  This outfit is fully based around the absolutely beautiful Draigoch cloak my friend and fellow cosmetic blogger Nathrien so kindly gifted me.  In comparison to the cloak, I wanted everything else to be simple, or at least I tried. Spring in the Sutcrofts

 Being below level cap definitely has its drawbacks, not being able to actually feel safe in higher level areas, not having access to all cosmetic pieces, and many more, but I have found that even being in the mid-60's level wise, I can get access to almost all of the things I could get at level cap, including journeying into Rohan... and almost western Rohan. I started looking around Middle-earth for a proper place for this outfit, one that would compliment the outfit with overpowering it, but nothing seemed to work. The Shire had too many flowers, and all places that were white had snow. So, I was about to give up on this outfit. But, Mak's adopted mother (and part-time travel agent and pilot), brought me down to Rohan, and right there, in Rohan, was the perfect scenery.
