Vanquisher of Shadow - Region Series Part I

 Angmar is a sad, depressing, dark area of Middle-earth. Evil has leaked out from Carn Dum, and has begun to spill into the surrounding lands as well, as the Witch King of Angmar continues his evil.

I used to hate to head into Angmar for exactly the reason of how evil an area of Middle-earth is was, but now I have discovered that I actually like it more than I used to. This outfit could alternatively be named "Angmar", because Angmar is the main inspiration for this outfit. The brown dyes signify the dark, bleak, and desolate colors and landscape, and the bit of red in the outfit (the cape) represents the evil of Carn Dum. I was looking for a good breastplate for this outfit and I realized the perfect one was sitting right under my nose: it was the one I currently had equipped as my armour.

I have used the exact same designed leggings and shoulder guards in a highlight post, but I loved how well the leggings went with the breastplate. I also ended up just using the boots and gloves that I had quipped currently for the hands and feet, because I loved how simple they were and how they drew attention to other parts of the outfit, not themselves.

 The cape is definitely my favorite part of the outfit: it was a quest reward for an epic quest a while back, and with the dye color I chose, it is just lovely.
Shoulders: Officer's Shoulder Guards (umber dye) - tier 6 metalsmith 
Cape: Elrond's Radiant Cape (walnut brown dye) - Volume I epic quest reward
Chest: Rianham (umder dye) - Volume I book 8, chapter 5 quest reward
Hands: Ashpar's Passing (umber dye) - Moria epic quest reward
Legs: Officer's Leggings - tier 6 metalsmith
Feet: Delver of Nar-khelab  - Moria epic quest reward
Once again, I included a screenshot of Mak's adopted mother Lissamay as a thank you for being my eternal escort and protector :P Even though Angmar is below my level, Liss makes sure that the things there don't bother me while I'm taking screenies. Thanks, girlie.

When I was posting on this blog on a consistent basis, the  Region Series  was my favorite series I've ever worked on. I also had two other series' on this blog,  Crafted Sets with Cosmetic Value  and  Matching A Steed , but the region series was truly my favorite. There's something so magical about taking a region, an entire region, and trying to form an outfit inspired by that region. It is truly a difficult task. Every single region is so unique and diverse, and while it may maintain the same general feel, every single village or homestead within that region each has its own flair. Dragon Scale

It's been such a joy as of late to working on outfits again. Nowadays, whether I'm running dailies or doing quests or really doing anything in game, I'm constantly thinking about what sort of outfits I could do inspired by the region I'm in, or what sort of screenshots I could take. When I took my blog hiatus I focused so much on getting a character to cap (which I was able to do.. twice), and then gearing said characters for end game content. Even though both characters aren't tier 2 ready yet, it's been very fun having different things to work on in game, not just leveling and gearing.  This outfit is fully based around the absolutely beautiful Draigoch cloak my friend and fellow cosmetic blogger Nathrien so kindly gifted me.  In comparison to the cloak, I wanted everything else to be simple, or at least I tried. Spring in the Sutcrofts

 Being below level cap definitely has its drawbacks, not being able to actually feel safe in higher level areas, not having access to all cosmetic pieces, and many more, but I have found that even being in the mid-60's level wise, I can get access to almost all of the things I could get at level cap, including journeying into Rohan... and almost western Rohan. I started looking around Middle-earth for a proper place for this outfit, one that would compliment the outfit with overpowering it, but nothing seemed to work. The Shire had too many flowers, and all places that were white had snow. So, I was about to give up on this outfit. But, Mak's adopted mother (and part-time travel agent and pilot), brought me down to Rohan, and right there, in Rohan, was the perfect scenery.
